Over the past five Years Saint George’s has been involved in helping support the work of Miki club in Uganda. Miki Club work with children in local schools and are also involved in support work for Trade Union Workers Rights, Anti Corruption, and Social Reform in Uganda.

This year we have increased our involvement by agreeing to help support the work of Bezallel School in Uganda. Bezallel School was founded 10 years ago by Pastor Fred Ssempijjia. It was established as School to help provide free education to Orphaned Children in the Kamuli region of Uganda. Over the years the work of the School has grown but it has never lost it’s ethos of support and education for children left without parents.

Our children in the local primary Schools have sent letters to the Boys and Girl’s at Bezallel. Our plan is that each child in the Tillydrone Schools will have a Pen Pal at Bezallel, Kamuli, Uganda.

Our Minister and one of our Divinity Students, Kenny  Naismith, will be accompanied by Ross Grant, (Tillydrone Community Council) on a planned visit to both projects in Uganda at the end of August.

If you would be interested in finding out more  information about Saint George’s Tillydrone Church, our Parish, and the work we are engaged with,  all you have to do is sign up for our newsletter we will send you regular updates.
