Saint George’s Tillydrone Church

Breakfast Club

Church of Scotland

As most of you already know 'Jumping 4 Jesus' has been running for a number of weeks now and has been a great success!.  It's totally

free to join and all children are welcome of primary school age!.

For those of you who are not sure what goes on on a typical Sunday I'll

fill you in! Jumping 4 Jesus and Breakfast Club are not seperate events! Its a new and more exciting way of engageing and encouraging the children to come along without the old fashioned view of Sunday School. In my experience it works well and more and more children come into Church this way! they're still learning about Jesus which is the most important thing but basically it's been revamped!.

The Children arrive for breakfast at 10.30! The room is set out so that the Children have a play area full of  games such as twister

operation and Jenga an area where they can colour in and draw and a Playdough table!. They also have a seperate area in which they eat breakfast served by myself and the other leaders! Breakfast consists of things like pancakes, cereal, toast with chocolate spread and fresh fruit juice.

When the children have finished breakfast they are free to play in the play area all the leaders join in and we have a laugh!,  Then at 11.15 the service starts so we all go through to join the congregation and to listen to the Childrens’ Address and learn some new songs complete with actions by myself!  The Childrens’ favourite so far is  'Our God is a great big God' then after that we head through to our hall for the second part of Jumping 4 Jesus which usually involves Bible story telling tied in with arts and crafts. We also play team games and the children usually want to learn more songs with actions and tell us about there week!. The Club finishes at 12.15.

I hope that’s filled you in on what a typical Sunday is like with us. I hope you'll come along and join us soon.

Huge thanks to all who have supported me in getting this off the ground! and an extra special thanks to our leaders:  Without you guys none of this would be possible!

Christmas party plans coming soon!

Watch this space!!!
