Minister Rev Jim Weir

I was inducted to the charge of Saint George's Tillydrone, on 13th March, 2003. I have also been very proud to serve for a number of years as Chaplain with Grampian Fire and Rescue Service.

I am married to Mary and we have three Children, Anne, Morag, Jim.

We also very proud of our three Grand-children, Andrew, Ellie and Brodie.

I enjoy photography, football, biographies and listening to Sixties Music, especially Protest Songs. Stuck in a time warp.

Perfect dinner guests would be Mhatma Ghandi and Martin Luther King, Richard H. Tawney.

Tremendous admiration for Saint George's and the folks of Tillydrone. Especially proud of the work that is being done in Uganda.  A small community playing it's role and with the help and support of Friends at Grampian Fire and Rescue, punching way above it's weight.

At a time when people in Kampala are marching to protest at food prices, I am especially proud of the fact that Tillydrone Vision has helped enable Bezallel School and Peasant Farmers in Kamuli to be able to plough land and plant their own crops.

On returning from our latest visit to Uganda, 10 Members of the Group presented me with an Apple I-Pad in thanks.

Thank you so much to each and everyone of you for this gift. Thanks also for your help, your company, your perseverance, and for your support of the work we are doing in Uganda.

I thank God for you, and for the many friends, who give of their time free of charge to help with the work of Tillydrone Vision in helping make the world a better place.

As a Church, a Parish, and a Group, we show God’s love:

In our own small way are able to show that a big difference can and is being made.

                                 Thank You so Much!

Greetings

I pray that each of you had a nice Christmas and that Santa was good to you. I also take this opportunity to wish you a Very Blessed New Year, and pray that the year ahead will bring you much of what you wish for, but more important, I pray that 2012 will bring you all of what you truly need.

In a few weeks time I am off again with the Tillydrone Vision group to visit with our Friends and Partners in Uganda. Whilst there I will be trying to update a blog on site.

Tune in and you will be able to follow us on the trip and hopefully keep in touch with the progress being made in Uganda.
